Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Phineas and Ferb and the voice of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, just did a zoom call for fans, and this is a link to it on Google Drive and a link to it on YouTube.

Hither's a brief overlay brought to you by my incessant live blogging, and because I was speed typing on my phone, I can guarantee non everything made the cut. Dan and Kyle Menke had to redraw 80% of the show considering they had to cut gags out and rewrite it and so information technology was still funny. Either the last (hard to sentinel w/o crying) or three moments that made himcey while doing them: the end of Summertime Belongs To You lot when Phineas gives upward trying to get off the isle and decides to watch the sunset with Isabella which was what she e'er wanted and she exploded and talked him dorsum up onto being the person he is even tho information technology'south a sacrifice on her behalf. He later says he started crying while pitching to his married woman the AYA scene of Phinabella getting together.

Practice yous regret any episodes?

There are some he likes more and some he likes less but he doesn't regret whatsoever of them. He was a little disappointed in an early on episode without a sing merely he watched information technology alter and decided information technology was actually pretty decent. None of them make him cringe or wonder why they did that.

He recently got on TikTok and found out that's where all the PnF fans are. I'll get back to that in a second only making my way back to the inclusion of DA characters, at the commencement it was fine, Drake existence a recurring character is fun, Chip and Dale'south cameo was kinda forced but didn't really interrupt the episode, Daisy is fantastic, Don Karnage absolutely steals the evidence whenever he appears and nosotros love that for him, and Jose and Panchito are e'er fun to accept on screen.

The DA characters work better as recurring roles rather than main roles, and thats where the effect with season 3 is. Mostly with how information technology has handled its inclusion of DWD. Now lemme go this out of the way, I absolutely love Let's Get Unsafe, it was a fabulous, well put together episode, I beloved Drake and I love this version of Gosalyn and the story they gave her and it is one of my favorite episodes of the flavour and the show, BUT every bit much as I love this episode, was this an episode nosotros needed?

No.

We didn't demand Let'due south Go Dangerous to move the FOWL plot forward, nosotros didn't need another episode about Drake, we didn't need Gosalyn to be another new character to focus on, we didn't demand Bulba, we didn't need the inclusion of the other DWD villains. We didn't the DWD elements to take the family find out about FOWL and Bradfords betrayal.

The DWD elements are fun and enjoyable, but they weren't needed for DUCKTALES to move frontward.

Real talk, the entire episode could've simply been 44 minutes of Huey existence suspicious of Bradford and we take the family investigate him together and they observe out Bradford is working for FOWL like that. We could've gotten that Huey goes crazy episode we've been promised but all the same haven't seen. Can you imagine Huey beingness the center of an hour episode just the same every bit Dewey and Louie had? Nosotros could've given Huey time to grow, nosotros could've had him lash out with the family non believing him and him snapping makes the family have him seriously and Scrooge agrees to investigate things regarding Bradford. This has been present most recently where episodes like Phantom and the Sorceress, Trickening, New Gods, and Fight for Castle McDuck have jokes and filler every bit the focus rather than focusing on plot relevant things similar, I don't know, FOWL Really Being A THREAT.

I saw people saying, at the time, it was nice to accept a break from and so much FOWL plot with episodes like New Gods, Fight for Castle McDuck and How Santa Stole Christmas but I completely disagree with that. Nosotros didn't demand to take a pause from a major plot that took one-half the season to really first and so only spend three and half episodes on it. The FOWL plot is SO in the background and that's an issue I can't get passed when season i and two found a way to balance out their plot lines throughout their seasons. Although season 2 has its issue with the Moonlanders simply that'south a discussion for a different time.

There's merely no urgency with FOWL this season despite the hype and all these characters that are involved with information technology.

I really hope this concluding batch is able to set the issues the latter one has created.

Skullgirls: A Story that I Don't Want to Echo Again

So Annie of the Stars has been announced on Skullgirls, I'm going to talk a bit about Skullgirls and how it's tangentially tied to my practise on writing/drawing The Zone Universe.

If you don't know what Skullgirls is, it'south a paw drawn (dissimilar from pixelated or computer-generated) fighting game that centers effectually an artifact called the Skull Heart. A woman makes a wish, only in return, they become consumed by the Skull Heart and becomes a mass-murdering monster. The animation is solid, and the writing every bit expressed in the game's Story Mode is as well intricate. Because of the plot, many have speculated where the plot will go in the futurity, considering each character has a goal related to the Skull Center. Of course, because of the detailed world-building, many fans accept made speculations on how it'll become.

Anyway, I got very interested in a character named Beowulf, a pro wrestler based on the literary legend, Beowulf. He's a human being (which is interesting because the plot centers around womanhood) who looked like he got brains and brawn, so that got my attention.

I had addicted memories of studying Beowulf to anticipate what his Skullgirls analogue may experience in his Story Mode. I bought a Beowulf translation past Seamus Heaney. I deeply studied Viking culture and anything related to Beowulf (the story)'due south cultural background so that I can find some niche references in Beowulf's movesets. Another interesting fact is that because of Beowulf, I followed a tumblr business relationship who was into social justice, and that'due south my introduction to the subject which sorta helped me get through college.

To my thwarting, when Beowulf and his Story Mode got released, it didn't meet up to my expectations. His movesets are actually good, 1 of the all-time fighters in Skullgirls, but his talking sprites were poorly drawn. In that location were barely any references to Viking culture. He was a co-star of Annie of the Stars, an immortal person who'south a TV fable. Annie herself (in my collective memory) overshadowed Beowulf...

I did once attempt to rewrite Beowulf's story. He was a retired wrestler who pursued his intellectual interests as a history teacher. A story most knowing your own civilisation and interim upon it. But for some reason I couldn't continue on with the project, and at present I had been fugitive Skullgirls so that my memories don't come up again.

And with Milo Murphy'due south Police that has again, simply it'southward worse. Considering not but has my preparations for my theory had been futile (once more), but the story actually hits me the wrong way as someone with a disability that may be harmful to others (autism) and the bad relationships that come with that. Because of that, annihilation tangentially related to it evokes some of the worst feelings.

So yeah, I did go to a therapist, and yes, the therapist told me that making The Zone Universe is OK.

And and then I set out to make The Zone Universe to mitigate the bad feelings that appear because of looking at Milo Irish potato'southward Law or anything related to it.

I don't want anything like the events surrounding Skullgirls to happen again.

Trivia: Do you lot know that Dr. Zone in The Zone Universe is partially inspired past Annie of the Stars in a sense that they're Television receiver stars who appear the same for decades?

Yep, I admire the fan-theory that Dakota had long worked at the BoTT. I am quite convinced that he was an excellent agent. While this has non been officially confirmed in the series of Milo Murphy's Law, here is the headcanon of Dakota being a Special Forces' time travel agent. And this is like the SF look similar in the future? Approximate, why not.

Looking back, 2018 was a pretty wild year for my media consumption:

Star Wars Rebels concluded, and information technology ended great. Especially dug the stuff with the World Between Worlds, aka probably the wildest freaking things they've done in Star Wars like e'er.

I began watching Star vs the Forces of Evil. I wasn't surprised to find it was far from perfect, with much of the first flavor existence unbearable. But it slowly grew on me with time, to the signal I was fully invested mail-Toffee. That finale was fucking emotional, damn.

Steven Universe is as astonishing as ever. So much awesome stuff. Pinkish Diamond existence Rose Quartz (I STUCK BY THAT THEORY FOR AGES HA) and the Scarlet and Sapphire wedding were the big stand-outs every bit to be expected.

Non everything is good of course. I read The Rosie Project and institute it rather meh, particularly since the portrayal of an Autistic protagonist was and then trite. It's 1 reason I want to meet more Autistic creators become to truly smoothen.

Solo A Star Wars Story was fine, but the twist with Maul as the villain was but ridiculous to me fifty-fifty as a huge Maul fan (I felt his story concluded great in Rebels). In terms of "most unbelievable media moment of 2018", seeing him come back on the big screen probably qualifies.

I got to meet @hbomberguy when he visited Melbourne, which was great. Primary things I think are him seeing the Neighbours bout, being kicked out of the Robot Bar for being too much and me not trying to get insane over the previously mentioned Solo twist.

It'southward not something actually released, simply The Clone Wars got confirmed for an extra flavour and that alone was great news.

Oh, The Phineas and Ferb Consequence. How I had such high hopes for you, but to crush them to not simply give me a sub-par special, but something so carelessly handled information technology ended upward fucking up the fabric of the entire universe of Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy'south Constabulary.

Oh yeah and MML Flavour 2 concluded up proving it wasn't just a colossal 1 time fuck up, but an actual decline in quality for the show. I have swell amusement in the irony, though: everything that tin go wrong will become incorrect, even the very show itself.

I've been continuing to help my friend @jaaychaan in writing her novels which has been lots of fun, but seeing me referenced in freaking interviews with her was quite surreal too.

Star Wars Resistance came out, and while things are going as expected, the character of Neeku stuck out to me as very Autistic coded... and I've nonetheless to feel similar they've done him justice so far.

Voltron ended. Season 6 was bang-up, but well Season 7 showed a few pocket-sized cracks fifty-fifty if I liked it overall, cracks that would reveal themselves during Flavour viii. Information technology still had expert episodes, merely the way it was wrapped upwards is so unsatisfying.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy came out, and it was a smash. Hope a few technical issues go fixed, simply overall I'm more than happy with what we got.

Crash Squad Racing also got a remake announced, aka the ane remake I really wanted. :P

I started playing Undertale but I suck at information technology and then I've been absurdly slow at completing information technology. I left Undyne for months only to realise what the solution to beating her was. :v

I rarely read comics but the Darth Vader series by Charles Soule was and then astonishing I connected following it right to the very end with the completion of Fortress Vader and the dark side Mortis-esque finale. So much nifty stuff, and now Momin is 1 of my favourite Sith of all time.

Final but not least, I will never forgive TTV for sparking a Danganronpa obsession. Great LP of course, but even if information technology'due south far from perfect the story and characters are and then gripping. Also Kyoko Kirigiri is my daughter and she'due south amazing, she's like teenage girl Thrawn except like well good and also giving me major feels FUCK YOU JUNKO Y'all MONSTER.

I've been reblogging some writing-related stuff only I haven't done a proper introduction so here nosotros go.

Basic Info

I'grand Lala Stellune. I'thousand an Indonesian, though my "expressive language" is English, since I start learned how to communicate in English language. Background

Pedagogy-wise, I'm taking what's basically "Fine Arts" in Bandung Constitute of Engineering science. And hither I am wanting to make stories to fulfill my inner wishes that couldn't exist fulfilled by other media.

Current WIP

I'm currently working on a sci-fi middle-grade novel that's currently called Captain Galaxy: A Voyage Through Space. Information technology's about a male parent-daughter duo: Richard and Rachel Pierce, who desire to rule the universe. The story focuses on Rachel's first experience in outer space, which takes place during summertime vacation. Since they have found intelligent life for the first time, Richard encourages Rachel to brand friends with them, especially since she couldn't brand any back on Earth.

Information technology's mostly a piece-of-lifey novel which focuses on Rachel's attempts to brand friends along with Richard and Rachel's relationship, but there will be some major plot points that will connect to books connected.

Talking about continued books, I'm planning for Captain Milky way to be function of a series of books called Rex Talionis, it'due south a pun of puting King; latin for 'king', and Lex Talionis; latin for 'Law of Retaliation'. Run across, a lot of my works volition exist based on my interpretations/theories of existing piece of work I am/was a fan of, and I see it as a retaliation by responding existing works with original works. I put "king" considering I'g thinking of myself, actually. I see the term as a perpretrator, and then I would be the one doing the "retaliation".

The series will have a variety of genres, but it'south more often than not sci-fi.

What I can offer

I tin can practice some beta reading, but I will warn yous that I am a slow reader (though I was able to end a book in a week, interestingly plenty. only it however took abroad a lot of my time). I'yard a fan of sci-fi and historical fiction, bonus if there's military involved.

As I said earlier, I'g a Muslim and an autistic, so if yous need my background for feedback, exist my guest. I cannot tell you how it feels similar to exist a "person of color", though, since I'm a native Indonesian living in Indonesia, where nigh of the residents are native Indonesian. Because of that, I don't experience oppression (at least when information technology comes to race).
